We had the most wonderful weekend with Brent and Holli. We love going fun places with fun people! Brent and Holli let us stay with them at their timeshare - it was absolutely heavenly! We are so thankful we have such awesome friends to share memories with!

Here is their timeshare, nestled amongst the mountains! Isn't it beautiful?!First, we made some time for some sledding. The kids couldn't get enough - we LOVE the snow!!!!Ethan catching some air off a jump:A good big sister taking care of her buds:I didn't do too much sledding - I had a hurt back from another sledding trip the week before....I must be getting too old!

25 Random Things

I know I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, but I just got done facebooking this, so I may as well post it here as well. Here is goes...

1. I hate doing these "tags".

2. I have toe thumbs. I use to hate it, but now it's just seems normal.

3. I am amazed by my children. They are so extraordinary and can't believe the things they achieve! I often find myself watching them in awe. I love the little people they are becoming and wish I could have been more like them when I was young.

4. I can't stand it when people lie. A white lie is still in fact a LIE.

5. My husband is the most sarcastic person I have ever met. Yet at the same time he is brutally honest. Maybe that's why he can rub people the wrong way - they don't know when to take him serious or not!

6. My church is everything to me and my family!

7. I still miss Utah.

8. I love my friends and would do anything for them...I find them as important as family. I've had the same best friend since I was 3 years old. Holy crap! That means Jill and I have been best friends for over 30 years! We have gone through many of the same life experiences. We were roommates at college together, and our kids are the same ages. She always makes me laugh!

9. My husband is the smartest person I've met....and believe me, I've met some awesome people! :) I'm glad my kids take after their father in that category.

10. When we were in Vegas with Brent and Holli, David Copperfield made me disappear while I was on stage.

11. I love food, but I hate working out. Not a good combination...

12. Moving to Washington and owning our own business was a HUGE adjustment for me. I was completely naive and wish I would have listened to people's advice. With that being said, I have learned a lot and wouldn't change it. WA is starting to become home.

13. I love to blog and read other people's blogs. It's a waste of time, but I still love it!

14. My latest obsession is playing scramble on FB. I am terrible at it, but for some reason I think I can beat the high score....darn you Melanie!

15. I love to cook, just wish I had more time for it. Why is dinner time so crazy? I love cooking with the kids and am glad they enjoy it, too.

16. I use to be WAY more patient than I am now. I can pretty much keep it together until they simultaneously demand my time. Taylor needs help on the piano, Ethan needs help with his homework, Emma wants to get on webkinz, Kaden wants a drink of milk. Then the toilet overflows, the phone rings, dinner starts to burn, and for some reason my head wants to explode! But I love it and wouldn't change it for anything! :)

17. I hate housework. I can make my house look "tidy" but please don't look in my cupboards or closets.

18. My sister use to call me "frumpy" and I didn't believe it until I looked back at pictures. For all I know, I still am, but I now try to take better care of myself and they way I present myself. Not because of her, but because I feel I'm looking old. (see below)

19. My sister is one of my best friends and I wish we lived closer to each other. She is one person who gets me. I've always admired her because she is a strong woman both inside and out. I loved it when we were young and people called us twins. I took it as a compliment. Now people think I'm her mom. I don't find that as flattering.

20. I love to camp and be in the mountains. We have had some of our fondest memories camping as a family. We especially love Moab, but give me a tent and my campchef and I'll go anywhere!

21. I love crafts, sewing and scrapbooking - all that typical mormon mom stuff. I think I have a creative mind but then I do things like this and can't think of anything creative to say. So maybe I'm not all that creative.

22. I use to have some serious spending issues. Then I married a tight-wad and lived on a strict budget for 10 years. It completely changed the way I view money, but that doesn't mean I don't like to shop!!!! If I have it, I'll spend it, but NEVER go in to debt for anything. This drives him crazy because he honestly never spends money.

23. I love to run errands. I will purposely spread them out throughout the week so I have something to go out and do every day. This may have something to do with the fact I think I have ADD.

24. I am deathly afraid of white-water rafting, heights, and messy/diry children. I love roller coasters, skiing, swimming, and yummy smelling/clean children!

25. I love newborns. I think I would have 20 children if they would stay newborns. They are so soft, sweet and cuddly. They don't talk back and throw fits. Obviously, all my kids were easy newborns, and terrible two year olds!

26. I love my husband more today than I did when we got married. I'm a happier person today because of it. I'm enjoying my 30's much more than my 20's.

Attempt #2

Here we are....a year later. And once again, T and E are trying basketball. And once again, their stories are different....but I must say, better than last year. Ethan still doesn't exactly "enjoy" basketball, but is at least attempting to make the best of it. He actually tried to make a shot in his first game on Saturday!!! It was a HUGE step for him, and a proud parenting moment for me! sniff sniff! LOL!

It's so funny that in all of his pictures he has this "lips pressed together in deep concentration" look.

Taylor's team this year is awesome. She is getting better and better - it's so fun to watch. Her team scored over 70 points at their game. It got to the point where we felt sorry for the other team! Yes, I've been on the other side too many times, so I can sympathize.

I didn't get a chance to video any of Ethan's game. I'll do that this week at his next game. Here's a 2 second clip of Taylor taking a shot, that she was fouled on! (She's #2)

I get so excited at the games. I cheer/shout/scream as loud as I can. Chris gets so embarrassed. I don't yell at them and tell them what to do, I just want them to know that someone is there watching and supporting them. I didn't always have someone at my sporting events so I want them to feel they have a cheering section. Ethan was so funny - he kept looking over at me with a little side grin on his face....mission accomplished!

Good job kids on your first game!

New Years

I've been putting this off because I know how many pictures I have - it's going to be quite the task deciding which ones to use! We had another great year in Kellogg, ID for New Years! We love getting away and enjoying the family! It's always nice to have a short break from the business phone calls, business problems, business issues, business headaches....though we still did get some while we were there.

We played in the snow, then played in the snow some more. It snowed about a foot while we were there - and loved every minute of it! If we weren't outside tubing we were:

Hot tubbing:Playing with toys:Playing games:Reading:Doing Puzzles:
Sleeping:Eating:As much fun as that all sounds, we were mostly outside playing in the snow. Ethan definitely won the award for staying out the longest....he would have stayed out all night, too, if I would have let him!

Alissa, Taylor and Ethan:Eliza in her first snowsuit:Kaden and Chris hanging out in the fort:Emma, Darran and Kaden throwing snowballs:Emma enjoyed getting the luxury ride back up the hill:Kaden loved sledding:He eventually got to the point where he "I go by self"!!!

Ethan pulling Bella

We eventually got Darran at the end of our train too!

Myanna and Taylor:

Lori and Ethan racing:

Don't mess up my food!:
