Spring....Could It Be???

Finally!!! We have felt the first day of spring - the sun shined all day and it wasn't even that windy!!! With the kids being out school we went to the park for a picnic with friends. There is nothing like enjoying the outdoors after being cooped up all winter!

The we headed off to the bowling alley. Taylor didn't want to go, so I sent her home with Kaden so he could nap. Ethan and Emma had a great time and Ethan even scored 118.

Carnival Surprise

The Mia Maids (as in ME) were in charge of putting together a carnival for our ward. It turned out to be a huge success and so much fun. I didn't bring my camera, but one if my friends did, so I'll post pictures once I get them. Anyway, Ethan won 2 goldfish at the 'ring toss', aka the Bishopric. Yes, 2. By the morning there was only 1. I secretly thought the other one wouldn't last long, so I didn't even go by a fish bowl. But, here we are 3 days later and the sucker is still here. So Ethan spent his money today on a fish bowl, a decoration thingy and a companion for his survivor. He named them Quartz and Dose. My anti-pet reputation may be one the line here....

Glory Days

BEST. NIGHT. EVER.

For Taylor's last basketball game, they played....(drum roll, please. bluddddddddddd) us MOMs! I haven't had that much fun in a long time! It's been years since I've played, but I must say, I pretty much kicked butt!!! haha!

We had the game at Kamri's house, who just so happen to have a full court basketball gym in their house. Her parents are Kimo and Tondi, so yes, we had an advantage having Tondi on our team. We had the best time playing with our girls, and I left with only a hurt knee. Not too shabby!

One More...

Here's a video of Taylor's Marimba performance last night. This is her favorite song "Eye of the Tiger":

She is so serious when she plays. They played about6 or 7 songs - I am so impressed with their teacher! They have a great little band and their steel drums will finally get here this week! Yah!

Kaden's Day

Kaden had a great birthday! He woke up early, like normal, and opened up all his GeoTrax. I can't believe it has taken me so long to buy these things - they're awesome! Needless to say, Kaden has not left that room without me dragging him....
This is Sunday morning while we were suppose to be getting ready for church:Still suppose to be getting ready. This turned in to a family affair. Uh, yeah, we were a little late!Later that night we had the family and the Martells over for cake and ice cream: ...and opened gifts for both the boys. Thanks everyone - you guys are the best! I put this video on because of our beautiful singing! It made me laugh so hard when I watched it!

Say Goodbye to the Terrible Twos....

Yeah! Kaden is 3!!! We feel so blessed that Kaden is in our family! He makes every minute more exciting and adventurous - there isn't a dull moment when he's around!

Again, looking back at these pictures totally made me cry! We were so excited and anxious for Kaden to join us. He had a rough start, but you would never know it now!

Minutes after being born, before he went to the NICU:
First picture tube-free! The nurses just loved him and took lots of pictures for me since he got unhooked in the middle of the night and I couldn't be there! Finally home - we were sooo excited!4 months old. Such a happy baby!1 year old:

Nine is Fine...

When I asked Ethan how it feels to be nine, he said, "Being 9 is a really cool experience. It's great being older and smarter. Being 9 is awesome 'cause you are almost in double digits. It's really fun starting a new number in your life. You get to do new things when you are older, so it'll be great being 9." He made me laugh out loud! :)

Looking back at these pictures just made my heart melt. He was the most precious baby! When he smiled it just made your world turn around. He had the blondest hair, biggest dimples and biggest brown eyes. He has always been very caring and thoughtful. Here are some of my favorite pics....beware, this may be a long post!

He was my biggest baby! 9 lbs, 3 oz!!! He was delivered by forcepts and came home looking battered and bruised! He was the happiest baby, ate like a horse and still hasn't slowed down!
